Welcome to Shannon Valley

Call for artists for a one day art show/sale in Shannon Valley Park – Saturday, May 4, 2019. This is the return of “Art in the Park” for artists residing in Shannon Valley, Indian Creek Estates, and Hunter’s Pointe. It will be a fun neighborhood event where you can meet other local artists/craftsmen, sell your art, and hang out with your all of your neighbors!

The one-day event will be held from 10 AM to 4 PM Saturday, May 4th, 2019.

All work must be created by the artist or reproductions of an original creation. No resale items allowed. Artists need to submit photos of what they plan to sell to Lori Kueker (lorikueker@gmail.com) and Claudia True (ctruekc1@gmail.com) who are coordinating artists for the show. If you don’t have photos you can set up a time with Lori or Claudia to meet and review your proposed art. Submissions will be accepted through April 15.

Artists handle their own sales and keep the total amount of their sales. Each artist is responsible for providing their own display system. Each booth space will be 10ft x 10ft. To secure your spot a minimal $20 fee is required which will be donated to local art non-profit, InterUrban ArtHouse, 8001 Newton Street, Overland Park, Kansas. Please make checks payable to InterUrban Arthouse and mail to Claudia True, 8728 W. 113th Street, Overland Park, KS 66210. As a thank-you for your donation, the Arthouse will host a social hour and give you a tour of their facilities in downtown Overland Park, and explain member benefits should you decide to join this great organization for local artists.

We are excited that neighborhood realtors and residents Jeremy Snider & Janie Hupman Logan-Snider with Snider & Company at Keller Williams Realty Partners, in their continued efforts to serve the families in Shannon Valley, Indian Creek Estates, and Hunter’s Pointe are helping organize and promote Art in The Park 2019 – another magnificent community event.

For questions contact Lori (lorikueker@gmail.com) or Claudia (ctruekc1@gmail.com) We’re looking forward to a fun event and a way for you to showcase your creations!

Welcome to Shannon Valley

Shannon Valley Homeowners are all proud of our tree-shaded streets, our parks and tennis court, and access to all of the amenities that Overland Park has to offer! We welcome you to our community!

The Shannon Valley Homeowners Assoc. Board will once again be calling on neighbors to help with the fun-filled activities that are planned throughout the year. Our plans include our annual Easter Egg Hunt in the SV Park in March, the SV Art Fair in May, The Neighborhood Garage Sale in June, the yearly Deck Crawl in June, the 4th of July Parade in the Park in July, the Oktoberfest with Indian Creek in October, and our Annual Meeting which is held in November.
You can go to the Volunteer section of our website to let the Board know which events you’d like to help with. And mark your calendars to attend and get to know your neighbors in a fun and relaxed atmosphere!

Our SV Homeowners Association can also use volunteers to become Block Captains, organize Block Parties, and serve on our Long Term Planning Committee to help plan future projects to maintain and enhance our neighborhood.

Please register your email address and update your directory information to help us with distributing newsletters, providing notices about neighborhood events, and offering information about important matters to homeowners. If you don’t utilize email, please let the Board know and we can make sure that you receive neighborhood information through the mail.

Since we now have HAS (Home Association Solutions) as our SV property management agent, we are happy to have Dylan Stang as your contact for questions or comments about neighborhood issues. Please feel free to contact him at dstang@hasolutions.net, or any Shannon Valley Board Member.
